CO-FOUNDERS

John L. Ehlers, III, M.A., LPC, NCC, NASM-CPT, CNC

Over the past 17 years I have learned that the change process is collaborative and requires a unified focus between therapist and client. In therapy, the most positive outcomes occur when we develop a healthy therapeutic relationship and focus on the same goals. Building this relationship allows both therapist and client to feel comfortable while cultivating positive change. I practice from a wellness perspective that states everything we experience throughout our lives is a natural part of our development as individuals. I will meet you wherever you may be emotionally knowing that your life's journey has brought you to this place.

My approach stems primarily from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and is informed by mindfulness, holistic health, and family systems theory. I work with adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families to address anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, relationship stressors, and life transitions.

I earned my bachelor's degree (B.S.) in psychology from James Madison University, my master's degree (M.A.) in counseling from The George Washington University, and completed post-master's graduate coursework in counseling at Adams State University. I am board certified (NCC) and licensed (LPC) in Virginia and Washington, DC., and hold certifications as a personal trainer and nutrition coach through The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Additionally, I offer services in Spanish. También, ofrezco servicios en español.

Kevin Bradley, LCSW

For 20+ years, I have provided individual and family therapy at home, school, and community. During this time, I have learned the importance of meeting individuals and their families where they are, to build a safe and trusting relationship, and to promote healthy change throughout their lives. I work with individuals and families to create a comfortable and open environment to foster change and growth throughout the therapeutic process.

I have implemented Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Behavior Modification, Mindfulness, and Family Systems Theory to work with children, adolescents, and adults with behavioral and emotional difficulties. Some of these difficulties included attention issues (ADHD), emotional regulation, school refusal, depression, anxiety, and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). The focus of my work has been on improving interpersonal communication between family members, addressing social skill deficits and co-parenting, especially during life transitions. I have utilized a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to support individuals and families throughout life domains.
